Woodsaver Milling is a family owned and operated business.


Owner Larry Malott, is an ISA certified arborist and served as Whitman College’s arborist for twenty years. Larry is experienced in milling, pruning and safe tree removal.


Woodsaver would like to offer the valley an opportunity to transform trees into beautiful lumber, beams and slabs.

Portable Band Sawmill

Woodsaver Milling uses the Woodmizer LT40 super-hydraulic portable band-saw mill. It is capable of handling 6” to 36” diameter logs from 4’to 20’ long logs.  Larger logs can be ripped in half prior to milling, or an extension to the mill can be utilized to double the maximum length from 20′ to 40′.

The slabbing “Alaska Sawmill” is capable of 60 inches width by 20+ feet long; produces live edge slabs.
